Wollar Solar is proud to announce this week we reached a significant milestone in the construction of the solar farm – first energisation!

While the amount of energy produced is relatively small at less than 6MW, it represents a major point of the construction process as it means that we are one step closer to exporting energy produced at the solar farm to the energy market. The energisation phase allows us to perform a range of checks and tests in stages as a “proof of concept” to demonstrate the functionality of the solar farm. We will start ramping up the generation of electricity over the coming months with a target to generate at 25% of capacity (70MW) by the end of 2024.
