Mudgee-based contractor A1 Earthworx is this week mobilising to start work on the access road from Barigan Road to the solar farm site.

Up to 17 heavy vehicles are expected this week to prepare the site for the access road construction.

The 1.5km road will be used during construction of the 280MW solar farm and new substation.

It is expected to take 10 weeks to build the new road.
