Jobs Event to Highlight Solar Farm Opportunities
Local businesses are invited to find out more about opportunities available during construction of Wollar Solar Farm.
Building work on the 280MW project located 7km south of Wollar will start in early 2022 and is expected to create around 320 jobs. Project owner Wollar Solar Development is keen to utilise as much local expertise as possible.
Firms interested in winning business and individuals seeking employment are invited to drop in to meet the project team and find out more at: Club Mudgee, 99 Mortimer Street, Mudgee on Thursday 2 December. Drop in at any time between 4pm and 6.30pm
Derek Powell of Wollar Solar Development said: “Not only will this important project generate a significant quantity of safe, clean power but we are committed to making as much use as we can of local skills and expertise.
“We are now gearing up to assemble a top-quality team to build the solar project.”
“This event enables people to drop in at a time that suits to find out more about the projects and how they can get involved.”
Roles required typically include electricians, excavator operators, grader operators, forklift operators, labourers, truck drivers, piling specialists, fencers, caterers, administrators, concreters and safety officers as well as cleaning services and accommodation.
